The olive harvest lasts from September to February each year and is named after the new year. This makes for a fantastic business or personal gift idea. Best before June 2025.
This oil is very high in polyphenols, rich in healthy antioxidants, with 400+ mg/kg of phenols during production and over 5 mg/20g of hydroxytyrosol (and its derivatives). These impressive numbers are the result of using the only certified chemical method by the International Olive Council, known as 'HPLC'. Other testing methods not certified by the Council could yield even higher results.
Boasting 100% Certified Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil of Single Origin from the ancient Olympia vicinity (north of Kalamata), this product is cold-extracted, with no additives, natural juice, unrefined, from the Koroneiki tree variety, non-GMO, BPA-free, and free of harmful farming residues and chemicals. It has a very low acidity of under 0.35%, much less than the maximum limit for the Extra Virgin Olive Oil category, and a very high smoke point of over 400°F.
This exceptional olive oil is perfect for a variety of uses. Enjoy it on its own or as a salad dressing, as it pairs perfectly with most foods that require a medium taste, such as salads, vegetables, fruits, meats, poultry, beans, seafood, grains, and dairy. Although recommended as a finishing oil, it is suitable for all cooking needs, including raw, sautéing, deep frying, baking, and grilling. It can also be taken as a daily phenolic 'shot' for a healthy lifestyle.
The tasting experience is truly delightful, with a medium intensity. Aromas of cut grass, artichoke, basil, and notes of tomato stem are followed by abundant fruitiness, medium bitterness, and pungency, with notes of arugula, flowers, mint, and green almond. The persistence and complexity are high, providing an authentic Mediterranean taste to your cuisine.
The olive groves are located in the mystical Peloponnese mountains near the site of Ancient Olympia, Greece, ensuring a single origin and full traceability. This limited, family-produced extra virgin olive oil is available directly from the producer, providing exceptional customer service.
